Description.
Our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel in Cairo at around 8:30 a.m. We then continue to Memphis and Sakkara. The journey takes around 30 minutes.
These two historical sites are about three kilometers apart and around 24 km south of Cairo city center.
You will visit the step pyramid of Djoser and several tombs in Memphis and Sakkara, and since the archaeological excavations in Sakkara are far from complete, it could one day become the most important historical site in Egypt.
Memphis is the oldest known royal residence in the world. It was built during the first dynasty in 3100 BC. founded, was a royal residence for five hundred years and inhabited for a total of 4000 years. We also visit the museum there and a few isolated statues.
Then we have our lunch and drive back to your hotel in Cairo.
